How did sustainable Spanish and Italian brands communicate COVID-19 on social media?

Purpose This study aims to determine how the most sustainable brands in Italy and Spain developed communication awareness-raising actions during COVID-19 pandemic whether these companies were truly involved raising public awareness of pandemic. The authors specifically focus on companies, as health is considered be an important corporate social responsibility task. Design/methodology/approach To answer questions, have used data media activity (Twitter Instagram) Italy, extracting posts associated hashtags that each them has published throughout processed using network analysis visualization techniques. Findings detailed both levels content messages provides interesting insights into models influence factors such time, country specific platform used. Originality/value analyze businesses pandemic, adopting a highly innovative approach. particular originality this lies parallel two different countries simultaneously shaken by very similar circumstances. also presents novel use graphical representation tools terms companies’ behavior for media.
